The staff greets you like an old friend. Their hospitality is top notch and always ready to help whenever needed. The beach is practically your backyard and Tiki Bar is a must-visit for tasty drinks.
The floors could use a good scrub.

This hotel has charm and potential. Clean rooms with inviting ocean views are a significant plus. The location is ideal, right on the beach, with easy parking access. The staff is welcoming and friendly, which enhances the experience. there were hiccups. Inconsistent room assignments led to confusion, and sand in the bathroom is not acceptable. Bloodstains on sheets were alarming, even if resolved with insufficient replacements. The elevator issues caused inconvenience, especially with luggage. The absence of breakfast was disappointing. Renovations are underway, suggesting improvements down the line. This place has promise. With some attention to detail, it could elevate the experience significantly.

The room we got had such a tiny kitchenette, it was almost useless. No oven, barely any utensils, and the bathroom was dirty with no grab bars.

The location was excellent, just steps from the beach. The view from the balcony was beautiful, yet limited by the nearby building. The mattress was extremely firm, making it hard to get comfortable. The bathroom lacked basic amenities; the faucet sprayed water everywhere, and the soap dispensers were empty. I appreciated the cleanliness, but the AC was noisy and the indoor pool was closed during our stay. No housekeeping was provided unless requested. The restaurant below created pleasant food aromas but also noise. The room could use better shower shelf stability and a broom for sand cleanup.

Loved the beachfront balcony view and exterior showers to rinse off sand. Indoor and outdoor pools were great. Room was cool and spacious, fridge useful.
Dodging wild children in the pool was a fun workout for me.

The WiFi was spotty, making it challenging to stay connected, and parking felt chaotic at times. Despite these quirks, the vibe was charming, and the proximity to the beach made it a lovely getaway.

Had a blast during my Easter break! Clean rooms were a highlight, and the friendly staff made it even better. The location by the beach was ideal, and having both indoor and outdoor pools was a plus. Enjoyed watching the surfers from my room and had a great meal at the on-site restaurant.
The indoor pool was overly chlorinated, causing discomfort. The room maintenance wasn't up to par, with issues like low cleanliness standards, bathroom problems, and a lack of breakfast options.

The location was perfect, right in front of the beach, which was a big plus for us. We stayed in an ocean-facing room, and the view was breathtaking. the cleanliness of the room left something to be desired. When we first entered, we noticed that the carpet needed vacuuming and there was a musty smell in the air. We also encountered a few bugs during our stay, which was a bit unsettling. The maid service was only available if requested before 8 am, which was not ideal for us as we liked to sleep in on vacation. the hotel had both indoor and outdoor pools. Unfortunately, the indoor pool was closed for a day due to contamination, and the water was too cold to enjoy when it was open again. The common areas of the hotel could use some refreshing, as we noticed leaking ice machines and rusty trash cans. The staff was friendly and accommodating, but there were instances where we received incorrect information from them. It would have been helpful if they provided a list of recommended eateries with addresses. On the bright side, the adjacent Ocean Grill restaurant was delightful, and the beach services provided by Oscar and his team were fantastic.

We hit up the Aquarium and joined the Cape Fear Fest of Trees - so hype! The live music at Fireworks by the Sea was straight up fire! Water sports at Island Time Water Tours were sick! The Salty Dog's yoga classes were lit!
Wish there was a nearby spot for young adults to party and hang out late at night. Keep the fun going!

we stayed at golden sands oceanfront and had a very good experience. the room was adequately furnished and had a small balcony. the view from our room was not the best as we overlooked the building with the pool, but we enjoyed the outside pier with tiki bar. the ocean grill was very good, and we were close to grandma's restaurant for a great breakfast.
Nothing i didn't like, to be fair 🙂

Our room was very clean, and the daily service of the staff kept it that way. Access to the beach and restaurant/tiki bar was a unique part of the total experience. Easy travel to local attractions and a good choice of restaurants made our stay pleasant. The view was amazing. Overall I'll recommend this hotel.

Experience the best of Carolina Beach with the family-friendly fair attractions, educational magic shows, a Victorian-style circus, and more fun at the Fireworks by the Sea & Boardwalk Blast Music Series. Enjoy live music at the Gazebo stage and the vibrant beach atmosphere!

We had an amazing time at this oceanfront hotel! The staff at the front desk were super helpful, even printing out directions for us. The location was perfect, with beautiful views of the beach and pier. The on-site restaurant served delicious food, and the pools were clean and well-maintained. The staff, from the front desk to the tiki bar, were friendly and made us feel welcome. The hotel provided everything we needed for a relaxing girls trip, with an oceanfront room, easy beach access, and a lovely sunrise view.

the rooms were pristine and the ocean view was amazing. the location was perfect - with easy access to the tiki bar and the beach. the staff knew all the best local spots and were super friendly. the key card entry made us feel safe and secure.
